Top 5 Claspo Alternatives, Compared on Price and What You Actually Get

Claspo is the most generous “every feature on every plan” offer in the popup category — but the free plan stops at 3,000 pageviews with the badge on, the paid price lives on a slider, and every page load counts whether or not a widget shows. Here are the five tools worth moving to, with the numbers side by side.

Ranked list of the top 5 Claspo alternatives with ChilliPopup first

Claspo does something most popup tools will not: it puts every feature on every plan, including the free one. Unlimited widgets, unlimited team members, 1,000+ templates, eight games, A/B testing, the integrations — all at $0, on one website, with the “Powered by Claspo” badge showing. Its homepage cites 4.9 on the Shopify App Store, 5.0 on WordPress and 4.9 on G2, which is a hard set of numbers to argue with.

People still leave, and usually for one of four reasons: the free plan’s 3,000 pageviews a month is a demo rather than a plan, the paid price is only visible on a slider and climbs with every page load rather than every popup shown, a second website starts on the $49/mo Pro 100 tier, and buying it — invoices for annual plans only, a discount that reads 20% in one place and 25% in another, an enterprise tier that is a demo call rather than a number — is fiddlier than the product deserves.

This guide compares the five alternatives worth the migration effort. Every price, cap and plan gate below was read off each vendor’s own pricing page in September 2026 — no repeated marketing copy, no numbers carried over from an older listicle. Where Claspo itself prints a paid price, we quote it; where it does not, we say so rather than guess.

Key takeaways

  • ChilliPopup is the pick if you want more content types for less: popups, lead-capture forms, multi-step surveys, quizzes and four prize games on every plan, including a permanent free one for 1,000 visitors a month, with AI that drafts the whole widget from a sentence. It has no ESP connectors, and its badge stays on every plan.
  • OptiMonk is Claspo’s closest structural twin: pageview pricing, every feature on every plan, and a 10,000-pageview free tier — more than three times Claspo’s 3,000. Paid plans start at $19/mo billed annually for 20,000 pageviews on two domains, and the ecommerce targeting is a class above.
  • Getsitecontrol is the cheapest way to lose the badge: $0 for 10,000 widget views with branding removal listed, then $19/mo per site for 100,000 and $29 for unlimited. Popups, bars, inline forms and surveys — but no prize games and no quizzes, and email is billed per 1,000 sent.
  • Poptin is the visitor-priced option with email in the same account: $20/mo billed annually for 10,000 visitors, badge removed on Basic, gamified popups and A/B testing included. Surveys and quizzes are not content types.
  • Popupsmart is the priciest entry point here: $32.50/mo billed annually for 50,000 pageviews and three websites, and A/B testing does not appear until the $57.50 Advanced tier. It buys a clean builder, 500+ designs and an AI popup builder.
  • Watch the unit, not the price: Claspo, OptiMonk and Popupsmart count pageviews, Getsitecontrol counts widget views, ChilliPopup and Poptin count unique visitors. A 10,000-visitor site that reads five pages a visit is a 50,000-pageview site.

The short version, side by side

Every figure below is the vendor’s own published price and allowance as of September 2026. Where a plan gates a feature, the tier that unlocks it is named rather than glossed over. Note that the traffic row is not one unit — read it carefully before you compare the numbers.

What is Claspo?

Claspo is a widget builder for websites — popups, floating boxes, floating bars, embedded widgets, fullscreen takeovers and teasers — sold on a promise its pricing page puts in six words: “Truly Unlimited, Every Feature in Every Plan”. Its homepage says its AI is trained on 1.6 billion popup impressions across 100K+ sites, and it is unusually strong on gamification: eight named games, all included at every tier.

What you get:

It is a good fit for a small store or SaaS site that wants to try everything before paying anyone, and for any programme that leans on gamification. Where it stops fitting is the moment your traffic passes 3,000 pageviews and you need to know, in a number on a page, what the next step costs.

What Claspo publishes about price, as of September 2026. The pricing page shows two cards and a pageview slider (3K, 50K, 100K, 250K, 500K, 1M, 2M, 2M+). The Free card is $0 with “all features”, “up to 1 websites”, unlimited widgets, unlimited team members and the “‘Powered by Claspo’ badge included”; the paid card is a Pro plan whose price moves with the slider and is not printed in the page text. Claspo’s own comparison pages fill in two points on that curve: “Pro 100” at $49 per month for 100,000 pageviews, and paid plans that “start at just $29/month if billed annually”. Its help center adds that Pro 100 and higher manage multiple websites, that upgrading removes the badge, that pageviews are counted “not widget impressions”, and that widgets pause when the limit is reached. The pricing FAQ offers a 20% discount on annual plans; the billing toggle beside the slider and the help center both say 25%. The slider runs to 2M+, the Enterprise & Agency card says “Book a Demo” rather than a price, invoices are issued for annual plans only, and a refund is available within 30 days if the paid service has not been used.

Why look for a Claspo alternative?

Nothing has gone wrong at Claspo — the product is deep and the free plan is genuinely permanent. The reasons to look elsewhere are ordinary product reasons, and they show up at fairly predictable moments.

1. 3,000 free pageviews is a demo, not a plan

“Every feature on every plan” is true, and it is the best thing about Claspo. But 3,000 pageviews a month is one of the smallest free allowances in the category: OptiMonk’s free tier is 10,000 pageviews, Getsitecontrol’s is 10,000 widget views. A site with 1,000 visitors reading three pages each is at the cap, and when you hit it your widgets pause rather than degrade. The badge stays on until you pay, and the free plan is one website.

2. The price is on a slider, and every page load counts

Claspo counts a pageview on any page that carries its script, whether or not a widget shows — the FAQ says “pageviews, not widget impressions”. That is the same unit OptiMonk uses, but OptiMonk prints its tiers; Claspo prints the free plan’s $0 and leaves the rest to the slider. The two paid points Claspo itself publishes, on its comparison pages rather than its pricing page — $49 for 100,000 pageviews, and paid plans “from $29/month if billed annually” — are competitive. What you cannot do is read the price of any step on the pricing page itself without dragging a control, and the Enterprise & Agency tier is a demo call rather than a number.

3. A second website starts at Pro 100

The free plan is “up to 1 websites”, and the help center says multi-site management arrives on the “Pro 100 plan and higher” — the $49/mo, 100,000-pageview tier. If you run two small stores, or a marketing site plus a docs site, you are paying for 100,000 pageviews you may not have. OptiMonk gives two domains at $19, Getsitecontrol prices each site at $19, and ChilliPopup’s Pro gives five domains at $29.

4. Buying it is fiddlier than using it

The annual discount reads 20% on the pricing page and 25% in the help center. Invoices are issued for annual plans only — “we do not issue invoices on a monthly basis”. A refund is available within 30 days, provided the paid service has not been used. None of these is a dealbreaker; together they are the kind of friction a finance team notices, and every alternative below prints its tiers on the page.

The 5 best Claspo alternatives

Ranked by how much you get for the money at the tier a Claspo shopper would actually land on — the first paid step after the free plan — not by how the pricing page is laid out:

  1. ChilliPopup
  2. OptiMonk
  3. Getsitecontrol
  4. Poptin
  5. Popupsmart

#1 ChilliPopup

ChilliPopup starts where Claspo does — a no-code editor, one script tag, widgets that render as overlays inheriting your site’s fonts rather than sitting in an iframe — and it too starts at $0: a permanent free plan for 1,000 unique visitors, with every content type on it.

Where Claspo’s catalogue is six widget formats plus games, ChilliPopup’s is five content types: popups, lead-capture forms, multi-step surveys, quizzes and four prize games. And the AI does something Claspo’s does not: describe the campaign in a sentence and it drafts the whole popup, form, survey or quiz, which you then edit. It is the tool to pick if you want fewer, more finished things rather than the longest feature list.

Two things to know before you choose it, because Claspo does both. There are no ESP or CRM connectors and no CSV export: leads and answers are read in the dashboard, so the sending happens in whatever tool you already use. And the “Powered by ChilliPopup” badge shows on every plan, Business included — the free one too.

The ChilliPopup editor — the same canvas builds popups, forms, surveys, quizzes and prize games

Describe it, and the AI builds it

The usual starting point in a popup builder is a blank canvas or a template library to scroll through. ChilliPopup starts with a sentence. Type what you want at the top of the template gallery — “an exit-intent discount popup offering 20% off for an energy drink brand” — and the AI returns the whole campaign: layout, headline and copy, colours, fonts, the email field and the button. Forms, multi-step surveys and quizzes work the same way, each from its own prompt.

The draft opens in the normal drag-and-drop editor, so every block stays yours to change, and nothing goes live until you publish it. That is the main reason ChilliPopup is quick to learn: you correct a finished draft instead of assembling one from parts. The four prize games are the one exception — they start from themed templates, while the AI drafts the popups, forms and surveys around them.

ChilliPopup pricing

ChilliPopup has three plans and one rule, which will feel familiar to a Claspo user: the plan changes how much traffic, how many domains, how many seats and how many AI generations a day you get — never which content types you can build. Popups, forms, surveys, quizzes, all four prize games, A/B testing and analytics are on the free plan exactly as they are on the $79 one. Plans are billed monthly. The Free plan is free forever with no credit card; Pro and Business each add a 14-day free trial.

#2 OptiMonk

If what you like about Claspo is the pricing philosophy — pay for pageviews, never for features — OptiMonk is the same idea with bigger numbers printed on the page. Its free tier covers 10,000 pageviews a month on one domain with unlimited campaigns and, unusually, every feature: gamification, surveys, both kinds of A/B test, dynamic product recommendations. The only things the free tier lacks are unbranded campaigns and a key account manager.

It is also the most ecommerce-native tool on this list. Cart-value targeting, automatically generated one-time discount codes, recently-viewed and most-popular product recommendations and per-campaign revenue measurement are the sort of things you only build when your customers are stores.

The trade-off is the slope, and the unit. Essential is $19/mo billed annually for 20,000 pageviews (with 30,000 and 50,000 steps inside the tier); Growth is $69 for 100,000; Premium is $179 for 500,000. Like Claspo, OptiMonk counts a pageview each time any page loads, whether or not a campaign is displayed — its pricing page says so in as many words — so a browsy catalogue climbs the ladder faster than its visitor count suggests.

OptiMonk pricing

OptiMonk’s pricing is the simplest on this list: pick your monthly pageview volume and your number of domains, and get every feature at every tier. The figures below are the annual rate the page shows with its “Yearly, save 25%” toggle on. The catch is the slope — the jump from Essential to Growth is $19 to $69, and Premium is $179.

#3 Getsitecontrol

Getsitecontrol is the cheapest way on this list to run a widget without anyone’s badge on it. Its free plan covers 10,000 monthly widget views and lists branding removal alongside A/B testing and surveys at $0; Pro is $19/mo per site for 100,000 widget views and Pro Max is $29 for unlimited. Its homepage counts 58,171 marketers and brand owners.

Two things make it structurally different from Claspo. It counts widget views — the times a widget was actually displayed — rather than pageviews, so a page that never shows a widget costs nothing. And it bundles an email tool: broadcasts and automated workflows in the same account, with emails purchased separately at $2.00 per 1,000 sent on Free, $1.60 on Pro and $1.40 on Pro Max.

What it does not have is the fun. No spin wheel, no scratch card, no game of any kind appears on its homepage or plan sheet, and there is no quiz builder. The widget list is email opt-in forms, promo bars, surveys, exit, promo and announcement popups, contact forms and inline forms. If gamification is why you chose Claspo, this is the wrong direction.

Getsitecontrol pricing

Three plans, priced per site, as of September 2026. Email is not included in any of them — the pricing page says “Emails are purchased separately” — and the widget-view allowance is the only thing that changes between Free, Pro and Pro Max.

#4 Poptin

Poptin is the visitor-priced option, and the one with email in the same account. The free plan covers 1,000 monthly visitors on one domain with unlimited poptins and the “Powered by Poptin” credit; Basic removes the credit at $25/mo, or $20/mo billed annually ($240 a year), for 10,000 visitors on one domain. Gamified popups sit on the plan sheet from the free tier, and A/B testing is included.

It is a good fit for a small ecommerce team that wants the capture and the follow-up in one place: the “Emails & Poptins” track adds campaigns, automations and segments, priced on email contacts rather than visitors. Where it runs out of road is content types. Surveys, NPS and quizzes are simply not things you can build in Poptin, and the popup track and the email track are two bills that both grow with you.

Compare it to Claspo on the unit. Poptin’s free 1,000 visitors and Claspo’s free 3,000 pageviews are close to the same allowance for a site averaging three pages a visit — the difference is that Poptin’s number does not shrink when your visitors read more.

Poptin pricing

Poptin’s pricing page opens on the “Emails & Poptins” track; the popup-only tiers below sit behind the “Poptins” toggle. Figures are the annual rate as of September 2026, with the monthly rate beside them. Yearly billing saves 20%.

#5 Popupsmart

Popupsmart is the tidiest builder here and the most expensive way onto the list. There are 500+ templates, campaign types named after jobs rather than formats — cart abandonment, exit intent, gamification, feedback collection, cookie consent, tap-to-call — an AI popup builder that generates headlines, CTAs, layouts and targeting rules, and 120+ integrations. Its homepage counts 20,000+ websites.

The cheapest paid plan is $39/mo, or $32.50 billed annually ($390 a year), for 50,000 pageviews and three websites. A/B testing does not appear until Advanced at $69/mo ($57.50 annual). Going over the pageview allowance is billed at $10 per extra 10,000 rather than pausing your campaigns — the opposite of Claspo’s behaviour at the cap, and worth knowing either way.

The free plan is one popup on 5,000 pageviews, branded, with 100 emails a month. Compared with Claspo’s free tier that is more pageviews and a fraction of the product.

Popupsmart pricing

Popupsmart has five tiers priced on monthly pageviews, websites and an email allowance. Annual billing saves 20%; the figures below are the annual rate as of September 2026. Two details are worth reading twice: A/B testing only appears on Advanced, and going over your pageview or email quota is billed as an overage rather than paused.

Which Claspo alternative should you choose?

Claspo is not a tool anyone needs to escape. If 3,000 pageviews covers your traffic and you can live with the badge, staying on the free plan is a perfectly good answer — it is the most complete free product in the category. The question is what happens at the first paid step, and that is where the five above separate.

Whichever way you go, do the migration maths on your own traffic first. Take last month’s analytics, convert it into whatever unit the vendor counts — pageviews, widget views or visitors — and price the tier you would actually land on, not the one on the left of the pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Claspo alternative?

Yes, three of the five have a permanent free plan larger than Claspo’s 3,000 pageviews. OptiMonk’s covers 10,000 pageviews a month on one domain with every feature unlocked and the OptiMonk badge showing. Getsitecontrol’s covers 10,000 monthly widget views and lists branding removal even at $0. Poptin’s covers 1,000 visitors a month with the Poptin credit — a similar allowance to Claspo’s for a site averaging three pages a visit, in a unit that does not grow when visitors read more. Popupsmart’s free plan is one popup on 5,000 pageviews, enough to try it rather than run it. ChilliPopup’s free plan covers 1,000 unique visitors a month with every content type, all four prize games and A/B testing, and shows its badge.

Which Claspo alternative is cheapest?

ChilliPopup, free for 1,000 unique visitors a month with every content type included and $29/mo for 50,000, then OptiMonk and Getsitecontrol at $19/mo — OptiMonk billed annually for 20,000 pageviews on two domains, Getsitecontrol per site for 100,000 widget views. Poptin’s Basic is $20/mo billed annually for 10,000 visitors. Claspo’s own comparison pages price 100,000 pageviews at $49 and say paid plans “start at just $29/month if billed annually”; the pricing page itself prints only the $0 tier, so compare against the figures Claspo actually publishes.

Which Claspo alternative has the most prize games?

None of them — Claspo does. Its features page lists eight games: spin the wheel, slot machine, memory cards, treasure hunt, scratch card, pick a gift, shake the Christmas tree and break the egg. ChilliPopup has four — spin wheel, scratch card, slot machine and claw machine — with per-prize odds and the winner decided on the server, on every plan. OptiMonk ships spin to win, pick a gift and scratch card. Poptin and Popupsmart list gamified popups without naming the games, and Getsitecontrol has none.

What happens when I hit Claspo’s pageview limit?

Your widgets pause. Claspo’s help center says so directly: when the monthly pageview limit is reached, widgets stop displaying until you upgrade or the month resets. On the free plan that limit is 3,000 pageviews, and the first time you hit it you can switch on a 14-day Pro trial. Because Claspo counts a pageview on every page that carries its script — whether or not a widget shows — a 1,000-visitor site reading three pages each is already at the cap.

Why do the traffic limits look so different between these tools?

Because they are not the same unit. Claspo, OptiMonk and Popupsmart count pageviews — every page load, whether or not a campaign shows. Getsitecontrol counts widget views, meaning the times a widget was actually displayed. ChilliPopup and Poptin count unique visitors. A store with 10,000 visitors who each browse five pages generates 50,000 pageviews, so the same site can look small on one plan sheet and large on another.

Can I keep my integrations if I leave Claspo?

It depends where you go. Claspo ships connectors for HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, MailerLite, Pipedrive and Salesforce, plus a CSV export of leads. OptiMonk, Getsitecontrol, Poptin and Popupsmart all push contacts into external email tools. ChilliPopup does not: leads and answers are read in its dashboard, with no Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Zapier or webhook connectors and no CSV export. If your popups feed an automated flow today, that is the piece to check before you switch.

How hard is it to migrate away from Claspo?

The script swap is the easy part — one tag out, one tag in, or a plugin on WordPress, Shopify or Wix. Download your leads with Claspo’s CSV button first. The real work is rebuilding the widgets and re-testing the display rules: exit intent, inactivity, frequency caps and URL rules behave slightly differently in every tool, and Claspo-specific settings such as the annoyance safeguard have to be mapped onto whatever frequency controls the new tool offers. Budget an afternoon per active widget, and see the frequency guide for where to start.
